2008 SLR CABRIO
THE 2009 SL
Mercedes has decided to let the current SL live for another couple of years before the new SL hits the streets. As such, the SL will get a major facelift next year.
The biggest change will be the CLS-style headlamps together with a new bumper and grille. Camouflage at the rear end hides a new shape and LED lamps. Another feature that will come in the facelifted SL is the AirScarf heating system in the headrests, now featured in the SLK.
M-Class Edition 10
To mark the tenth anniversary of the M-Class, Mercedes-Benz is presenting the limited Edition 10 model. In addition to the regular model, the special edition is marked with Edition 10 badges on its fenders. The anniversary edition also contains a long list of features and distinguishes itself through attractive exterior design elements. Customers can order the vehicle beginning in fall 2007. The model comes with a broad range of special features already included, such as 20-inch wheels, bi-xenon headlights, taillights with a sporty dark background and special color highlights for the vehicle body. Striking features of the sporty interior include two-tone leather appointments throughout, sport instruments and stainless steel pedals.
C 63 AMG
With the new C63 AMG, Mercedes-AMG GmbH is making a confident statement to mark the 40th birthday of the company. The new V8 flagship model is now the fifth generation of the AMG C-Class, whose family tree goes back to the C36 AMG of 1993 the very first vehicle developed as a cooperative venture between Daimler-Benz and AMG.
2009 CLS
Mercedes has transplanted a new nose to the CLS, reducing the number of bars in its grille from four to two, and with a different gray finish to its mesh grilles.Other changes to the 2009 model include bigger mirrors with turn-signal indicators built in; 18-inch wheels with a new ten-spoke design; a new back bumper with dual exhausts and arrow-shaped LED taillights. Inside the CLS gets a three-spoke steering wheel, new white and silver gauges, and a new display for the COMAND infotainment system, along with integral Bluetooth connectivity and voice activation. A harman/kardon Logic 7 audio system is standard.Two models return to the CLS lineup for 2009. The CLS550 sports a 382-horsepower V-8 with a seven-speed automatic, while the CLS63 charges along with 507 hp and 465 pound-feet of torque. The CLS also uses the seven-speed automatic, with the addition of Speedshift electronic shift control.
